Before the visit

Prepare location, approximate acreage or dimensions, vegetation, access, known constraints, desired result, debris preference, timeline, and your authority to request work. Label unknowns instead of guessing.

Do not enter unsafe areas for photos or measurements. The launch form intentionally does not collect uploads.

During the scope conversation

Ask the provider to repeat the proposed work boundary, retained features, method, stump treatment, debris plan, expected finish, exclusions, and assumptions. Clarify who handles utility, access, erosion, permit, and third-party coordination.

A provider may recommend a different method after seeing the property. Ask why the change fits the desired outcome and how it changes the written scope.

Before accepting a proposal

Independently verify the provider’s legal identity, current credentials where applicable, insurance representations, references you choose to request, and contract terms. This publisher’s routing review is not a substitute for homeowner due diligence.

Keep the proposal, change orders, payment terms, and completion criteria in writing. Do not rely on a verbal promise that conflicts with the document.

Questions property owners ask

Will the matched provider already have my photos?

No launch form photo upload is available. A provider may request information later through its own verified process.

Does a match mean the provider is endorsed?

No. Matching is limited routing based on available eligibility information. You should independently verify every provider and proposal.

What if proposals describe different results?

Ask each bidder to revise or clarify the written scope before comparing totals. Different outcomes should not be treated as equivalent bids.
